Life is a period of growth. One is constantly changing: their minds, their views, their appearance…
Attending college, started my growing period. Before that I was shy, not confident, and did not really know what I was doing in my life. Now finishing my second year at school, I notice a difference in the way I think and act. Before I was afraid to talk to new people and now that is one of my favorite things to do. Before I was afraid of what others would think of me and now I am confident in the way I look and act. I think I always possessed these qualities, but I needed to grow into myself to become the me that was always there.
Different factors may have influenced my growth, but some of the most important ones are the ones that came from within. Knowing that I was enough was one of the most important things that I told myself. Also I pushed my insecurities to the side and leaped out of my comfort zone because I knew that when I did that, great things would happen.

I think most women struggle with their confidence and self-esteem on a daily basis. In a society that judges women on their appearance, it is hard to keep a positive mind about one’s body image. In the end, I think that every woman will grow into the person that they eventually want to become. I hope that others can transform themselves the way that I did because at the end of the day, all that matters is if you are truly happy with yourself.
